1. Why is curcuma longa mentioned in the list of aromatic additives and not in the list of ingredients?

The herbs in herbal preparations can be processed in different ways. When selecting the processing form, it is important that the amount of active ingredients remains constant. In the Natural Curcuma Liquid, a nebulisate of Curcuma is used. This is a unique form of drying extract that is much more concentrated than ordinary herbal powder (1). Moreover, the extract is standardized to contain 95% curcuminoids, the active ingredient of Curcuma longa.

2. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CURCUMA LONGA, TURMERIC AND CURCUMIN?

Curcuma longa is simply the scientific name of Turmeric, a plant of which de roots are used to make a yellow powder with well know health benefits. The most active compound in turmeric is curcumin, which has strong anti-inflammatory and analgesic potential.

3. should you add BLACK PEPPER TO ENHANCE THE ABSORPTION OF CURCUMIN?

The absorption of synthetic curcumin is often said to be low. Therefore, various pharmaceutical approaches have been developed to overcome the poor absorption issues and enhance the utility of synthetic curcumin. These include nanoparticles, liposomes, black pepper, gelatin, ... However, it has been shown by Gopi et al. 2017 that the absorption of curcuminoids in a NATURAL matrix is six times greater than the methods mentioned above (2). CURAFYT uses curcumin in a natural turmeric matrix with greater bioavailability; therefore, adding black pepper is unnecessary!

4. WHY SHOULD I USE NATURAL CURCUMA LIQUID FROM CURAFYT IF IT IS CHEAPER TO BUY CURCUMA POWDER IN THE STORE.

You can indeed buy turmeric powder as a spice in almost any food store. However, the percentage of the active ingredients (curcuminoids) in such powder is very low.
